Alright, looks like we finally got an update! Glad to see this got put to rest. Seems odd that the game's license needs to be confirmed since it would have been purchased on PlayStation's own digital storefront, but regardless, it looks like this has been put to rest.
Update: Sony has provided a statement regarding PSN license checks
