Perhaps he bases it on the fact software interest fizzling out post successor!
However, 2m+ was probably it's opening alone ( with digital, because it is sold out everywhere), similar to pokopia.
The homologous 3DS title is the 10th best selling at 6.72m, of which most sales are actually in EUROPE ( especially france).
