Yes, but when you talk there will be a boost in sales, often the person saying it, means there will be some impact, or it will make a difference. 10k for one week in Japan is barely any difference. And even 50k for the month globally, is also nothing in the grand scheme of things. Therefore talking about boost of such low numbers is pointless. But technically yes, the boost is there. 

you are literally repeating what I just said lol: 50% is a statistically noteworth difference, but 10k isn't anything massive.
