I don't think I've any truly hidden gems to recommend, but there's some less known ones I could recommend. The MediEvil remake was excellent. Tearaway Unfolded was definitely worth experiencing, although it had some frustrating aspects as well. inFamous: Second Son was also quite fun, especially since it didn't really overstay its welcome.

As for games I've played on PC but suspect are also available on PS4, the Wolfenstein games by MachineGames are nice. I suspect you're already familiar with Okami HD but if you're not and it's available on PS4 like I suspect, that's definitely a good one too.

As for some indie games I've played on PC but think are available on PS4 as well, Firewatch is worth a mention. If you've missed Journey, I can recommend that one too.

Thanks; Tearaway and Infamous are on my radar. I had my eye on the Medievil remake but I heard it was very difficult due to the gameplay still being the same as it was back in 90s when games were much tougher than today, and I don't cope well with frustration. Just how tricky is it?

As a kid, I thought the original was a bit tricky, but I didn't really feel that way with the remake. Maybe I've got better? It definitely doesn't feel like a modern game, but I was surprised by how good it felt compared to how I remembered it. Your mileage may vary, but that's how I felt about it.

I am intrigued by the Last Guardian as I did think Shadow of the Colossus was great, but I've heard getting the creature to actually coperate can be frustrating.

Well known franchises and AAA sequels being called "hidden gems" is hilarious. Elemental Gimmick Gear on Dreamcast is a hidden Gem. Chaindive on PS2 is a hidden gem. I don't think some people know what hidden gem means lol

But since we are mentioning games not so hidden I will mention some. Hidden or not so hidden.

Curl if you like 90s styled racing games. Hot Shots Racing and Horizon Chase Zero are good. Not sure Horizon is hidden since it got a sequel.

Blade Strangers is a solid fighting game. Like an indie version of Capcom vs and I mean it. It has characters from various indie games.

Darksiders Genesis isn't fully hidden but often overlooked spin off. It's a top down game.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne is amazing (also on Switch) and if you want a lighter tone version of SMT. Digimon Cybersleuth and Hackers Memory. Great RPGs. SMT lite with the vibe closer to Persona.

GRIP. A racing game a unofficial successor to the PS1 game rollcage. A futuristic racer but you can drive on the walls or ceiling.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. A sequel in the Wonder Boy series and an excellent Metroidvania.

Shin-chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation. A very chill game. Nothing to kill. No combat. Just a kid having a fun summer.

Warhammer 40K Boltgun. Doomer Shooter set in the 40K verse. Not peak of the genre but solid.

Wonder Boy Asha in Wonderworld. A remake of the Mega Drive game.

Wonderboy III a 2D remake of a Master System game. Lizard Cube made it (Recent Shinobi and SOR4)

Fuck it throwing The Wonderful 101 out there since it's a fantastic game and more people should play it.

Cannon Dancer. Port of a 90s arcade game. Clone of the Strider series. Pretty good. Maybe the best Strider clone of the era.

Child of Light. RPG from Ubisoft. Wonderful 2D art and Grandia Battle system.

RIME. If you lie those emotional journey like games. It's a solid one.

Destroy All Human 2. Fairly different from the first and a much better game. Solid 7/10 and I am talking the remake.

I don't know how well this runs on PS4 but Evil West. A game that feels out of the 360 era in a good way. TPS, kinda old west Gears of War but fighting Vampires and Werewolves.

.hack last Recode is HD collection of 3 of the PS2 games. Solid game and collection.

Raidou Remastered. One of my fave games from last year. Another SMT game but a spinoff so it plays more like a detective RPG. Takes place in the 1920s Japan.

Klonoa HD the remakes of the first 2 Klonoa games which are excellent Platformers.

Astebreed. Shmup/Hack N Slash Hybrid. My fave indie game ever.

Scarlet Nexus. Namco RPG from 2021. Setting is a little Cyberpunk like but the game is not Cyberpunk. Little bit of Persona. Little bit Sci Fi Tales. Pure action combat. Very stylish game with a good story.

Thanks again. :)

I did really like Hotshot Racing, Horizon Chase, and Warhammer 40K Boltgun.

The creature behaves just like a cat, not sure if you ever owned a cat.  So yes, it doesn't quickly/precisely follow instructions, but requires coaxing, which I thought was the point.  So it is true, but also over blown.

I concur. I didn't think it was issue, but it probably depends on how easily you get frustrated.
