My Super Slim from 2012 is doing just fine. No issues at all. |
Yeah mine's still working just fine, and it's a regular slim. I've actually never had a console die on me, and I own an SNES I got for Xmas 1994 and an N64 I got in 1998. Even my 360 (a slim) is still trucking despite being one of my most used systems ever. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I feel spoiled with the modern controllers and PS2 and PS3 controllers feel awful to me today, like they are stabbing my hands when I hold them. Granted I never much liked them to begin with but now it is a much steeper threshold when I can play most games on the PlayStation family with the dual sense. |
Yeah the controller is definitely PS3's weakest link, it's too small, the triggers suck, and its far less comfortable than modern controllers or even its rival the 360 pad. Still, I can tolerate it for how awesome the games are.
