Do XBOX fans really respect Microsoft as a company?

I can respect that,but is reliability really a non issue? That would influence my loyalties.

Having two consoles quit reading disks didn't affect how I felt about Sony. Yes ... two PS2s I had to ship to Sony to repair that crap. I could care less about reliability, as long as the games are the bomb.
