Update on previous compatibility results broken down by SteamDB rating (April 12, 2026):
A total of 26,880 out of 33,239 tested Steam games are now classified as "playable+".
41.1% of the 2,165 games with a rating of 90+ and 22.5% of the 17,093 games with a rating of 80+ are now "verified."
84.4% of the 2,165 games with a score of 90+ and 57.0% of the 17,093 games with a score of 80+ are now classified as "playable+" (i.e., "verified" or "playable").
Already 80.9% of all 33,239 tested games are playable on the Steam Deck, and with a few tweaks, many more are as well.
The higher the SteamDB rating, the higher the percentage of games rated "playable+":
for a rating of 80+, it’s 87.4%; for a rating of 85+, it’s 88.9%; and for a rating of 90+, it’s as high as 89.7%:

Recently the "SteamOS Compatible"/"SteamOS Unsupported" category has been added to the SteamDB overview (highlighted in purple in the screenshot). This is likely the compatibility list for the announced "Steam Machine."
The compatibility results here are significantly higher, probably because some "unsupported" reasons specific to the Steam Deck hardware (performance issues on the Steam Deck, no VR game support, text that’s far too small for a handheld display...) aren't no problem with the Steam Machine or other PCs running SteamOS.
Already 86.7% of all 32,193 games tested on SteamOS are rated as SteamOS-compatible.
The higher the SteamDB rating, the higher the percentage rated "playable+":
for a rating of 80+, it’s 90.8%; for 85+, it’s 91.7%; and for 90+, it’s as high as 92.4%!

Of my own Steam collection (excluding my VR games), 60.7% of the games are now rated "playable+"... over 3,650 games. Most of the remaining 30.0% that haven't been checked are probably playable as well.
Only 9.3% of my library is currently classified as "unsupported," and even many of those games run just fine.
