The other part of me wants to see a Star Fox game with the scale and budget of BOTW or TOTK. This would feature plenty of on foot gameplay in addition to all the vehicle stuff. Exploring the galaxy, spending time on the Great Fox with your crew, working on your ship and vehicles, getting into trouble at the local watering hole, taking on various jobs, a real space opera. Let Fox kick just as much ass as he does in Smash that he does in a cockpit. Obviously this would be much harder to pull off well and much less likely but a guy can dream.

That second concept sounds amazing. Star Fox by way of Mass Effect, or something like that. I'd love to play that game :)
