Honestly? Just expand on what Star Fox Zero did. That game gets way too much hate. Just like Devil's Third, people and journalists insisted in playing them wrong. They tried to play DT as a third person hack and slash when in reality is a FPS with some third person action in it. And they tried to play SF Zero like a third person on rails shooter when in reality is a FPS on rails with a third person view for spatial awareness only.

If you judge a fish for its ability to fly... or something like that.

Hmm...

The Wii U gamepad being forced into the control scheme of Zero is what made it such a chore to play. If it had traditional Star Fox controls it'd been much more enjoyable.

You are proving my point. You insist in treating the game as a bad third person shooter on rails because the controls don't work well enough that way.

If you use the gamepad and play the game on it as the main view and use the TV view just for space awareness, the game suddenly works. The problem of you guys is you keep trying to play the game like SF64, ignoring the Gamepad and just looking at the TV. Of course the game is gonna suck that way.

And no, alternating between both screens is not a problem. You barely need to look at your TV outside of all range missions.
