Honestly it feels like what a Switch Pro could have been, but dialed up to 11, just with a terrible display and battery life. (And that's not a bad thing, except for the display and battery life.)
Otherwise the WiiU is probably where it's closer aligned to in terms of capability, both being TV and Handheld functionality, both being "HD" consoles and both sharing a chunk of library in the cross-gen crossovers. (Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 and other enhanced Switch ports.)
