Switch 2 vs PS5 Sales Comparison - February 2026
This monthly series compares the aligned worldwide sales of the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
The Nintendo Switch 2 launched in June 2025 and the PlayStation 5 launched in November 2020. This does mean the holiday periods for the two consoles do not lineup.

February 2026 is the 9th month that the Nintendo Switch 2 has been available for. During the latest month, the PlayStation 5 has outsold the Switch 2 by 86,064 units when you align the launches. The Switch 2 is ahead of the PS5 by 6.39 million units.
The 9th month for the Switch 2 is February 2026, while for the PS5 it is July 2021. The Switch 2 has sold 17.16 million units, while the PS5 sold 10.77 million units during the same timeframe.
The PlayStation 5 sold 91.04 million units to date. The Switch 2 is currently 73.88 million units behind the lifetime sales of the PS5.
