The GameCube was younger than the PS5/XBS is now at this point too, lmao (this would be 2006 I believe before the Wii launched). 

In 2003 I still had to pay €144 for the GameCube... okay, Metroid Prime was included.

My cheapest console (by hindsight) was my PS4 Pro... €1.76 per month of usage.
Bought it for €399 at launch date (November 10th 2016), sold it for €300 in June 2021, when I got a PS5 (disc version) for €485.

Currently my PS5 (disc version) is in its 57th month of usage, so monthly costs are €8.50 (so far). If I would sell it now for (f.e.) €400, the remaining monthly costs would be down to €1.49, beating the PS4 Pro.
