| Soundwave said: All that said ... no new 3D Mario really kinda hurts. If that's the case I think they probably made a mistake with Donkey Kong Bananza, I love DK platformers, but Mario is simply far more important. Not a ton of big ticket system sellers, unless like Smash is a surprise late 2026 game. Switch Sports is ok but it's not 2006 anymore. |
Worth noting is that DKBananza and the upcoming 3D Mario games were made using two different parts of EDP 8. Koizumi has been hard at work with Mario for a while, I’d imagine. Dropping 3D Mario alongside the new mainline Pokémon and an NS2 Lite is definitely is the smartest call commercially IMO. That’s like a COVID 2020 level boost in the making.
As far as my tastes are concerned? I’m in love with this line up! Star Fox and a 3D Zelda remake… oh man. That just sounds too good to be true. On top of Splatoon Raiders, Rhythm Heaven, Yoshi, and Fire Emblem, I’m looking at a lot of fun games this year.
