I'd recommend playing the main series in order; Xenoblade Chronicles, then 2, then 3. X can be slotted in wherever, but probably not first as it would then set expectations the rest don't follow.

3) Xenoblade Chronicles 3

4) Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
