Only a minority of nerds online care about games having worse graphics on a hybrid/handheld device, the average customer just doesn't care that that much about graphical performance, look at how popular games like Roblox and Minecraft are with their incredibly basic visuals, and look how far Switch 1 outsold PS4 or Xbox One despite being much less powerful.

I get that, but it's still not good PR. And I can't imagine anyone at any company being okay with it.
