Please correct me if I am wrong but doesn't that put Nintendo at 21 million shipped by 3/31/26? Wouldn't that put them ahead of their 19 million prediction. They never changed their prediction of 19 million and they have already shipped 17.37 million. The math isn't mathing for me. Is he saying that they planned to produce 6 million (regardless of what they actually planned to ship based on actual sales)?

"The output cut shouldn’t affect Nintendo’s ability to meet the average analyst estimate of about 20 million Switch 2 units sold in the fiscal year through this month, the people said."

Okay this makes more sense.  So he is saying that they will meet their sales predictions, but that Nintendo had originally intended to actually produce 6 million this quarter (thats 1.5 million a month down to 1 million a month for the quarter).   This could me a bunch of things but it look like it just means they were looking to ship a certain amount come Q1 but have lowered those predictions.  If this is true, we still would need to know what Nintendo's FY 26 predictions are.

Regardless, it looks like they will beat their predictions for 2025.
