Like blocking is a waste of time, getting distance between a boss and the character is a waste of time, etc. Once you figure out the games just play different, they really aren't that hard. I always thought the difficulty was grossly exaggerated. I can easily solo all those games through NG+4 and comparative to NES hard, the games are super easy, though still harder than many modern games. But Souls, in terms of difficulty, have nothing on Zelda II, Ghosts + Goblins, Contra, etc. |
It's just not my cup of tea, I have poor reflexes and hand-eye coordination so I'm no good at hard games, and I get easily frustrated which to me is one of the worst feelings imaginable.
Also, I deal with an insane amount of stress in my daily life, and I game to unwind and relax, so i prefer to play easier games.
