PS4 is still getting games in 2026

That was my personal evaluation and opinion, I think you understand that but it seems I managed to offend you and perhaps others. That was not my intention, and of course I was being a bit hyperbolic about it. At the time those games were the best we could get, but most of them were not very fulfilling experiences to me even as a kid. They were glimpses of what could be possible some day. And especially as things have evolved, to me they really have been exposed to be pretty shitty in comparison.

That doesn't mean you are wrong to have liked them or even still liking them, these are subjective things. For the same reason, it also doesn't mean you get to deem it impossible or irrational for anyone to feel like old games were shitty.

Anyways, originally I was simply responding to the idea that kids nowadays have missed out on something good because they have not experienced the first gens of gaming. In my view, they are not worse off than us and gaming today is better than back then. That's all.

Yea kids nowadays have it so good with 3 genns of fortnite,dlc, microtransactions, 100 "open world but nothing to so in them and play all the same" 

Wait a year or 2 for all the patches so you can finally have the game we promised to deliver but we f up (cyberpunk for example)

Buy these dlc packs so you can have to full game!

Yea modern games have created a sort of blueprint of gameplay at how a game should be played, but it made all these games copy/paste/boring.

Tell me any game who had the same " holy shit this is cool" impact in modern gaming like for example devil may cry on ps2 had.

Tell me a modern game that has the same depth in story as xenosaga trilogy or mass effect(if you call this a retro game at least)(okej maybe claire obscure 33,havent played that game)

I understand its your opinion but you are one of the verry few who thinks this.

Modern gaming can be amazing...but dont tell me kids have it better then growing up and LITTERLY seeing gaming invole from nes to ps5
