It is clearly early days with this technology so the results are mixed but it is already impressive and has a ton of potential. As mentioned it already makes a very nice impact on Starfield, the shot with the two characters in particular looks pretty insane and it's probably gonna look even better when DLSS 5 releases later this year.

In the coming years game developers will be able to use this to make games look way closer to how they actually want them to look heavily reducing how much they have to compromise the visuals which is really cool. If this is equivalent to DLSS 1 upscaling in its current form then 2-3 versions from now it's probably gonna be wildly good and something lots of people routinely use.

Unfortunately though a lot of people act irrationally over anything AI related currently so there's a major lack of nuance in reactions to this. For example the amount of genuine anger in response is absurd since it's a completely optional feature that developers can implement to their liking or ignore and people can turn on or ignore in the games that use it so there's no reason to be bothered by it since it harms nothing. So many reactions to this are gonna age just as poorly as the people who derided DLSS back in 2019.
