Impressive, although I believe previous consoles have also got new releases way after their follower launched. Anyway, PS5 is so expensive that there are probably still a lot of people that want to ugprade but haven't been able to do so. Since PS5 is able to play PS4 games, I'd say this is just expanding the potential audience - by releasing on PS4, you gain the audience of both PS4 and PS5. Of course the downside is that a PS4 game is probably much less marketable than a PS5 game, but if you're not going to properly utilize PS5, there's little technical reason to not release it as a PS4 game instead. I suppose if you also have a PS5 version and can release a PS4 version as well with little effort, it makes perfect sense to do so.

Not really. The follower of PS4 is the current main product of Sony and able to play PS4 games. The same can't be said about those two examples.
