If you have a base PS5, there should be quite a bit of multi platform games that runs better on Series X.

I wonder if that power difference actually resulted in better games or not after all.

Early on during the generation I remember PS5 was said to provide better tools for devs and some games were actually running better on PS5 instead.

I dunno if that changed, very likely it did, but because the PS5 became the default version for pretty much every third party dev to develop for I think most games must be basically exactly the same between both platforms.

I went to check DF video on Resident Evil Requiem and at least there it was said to be exactly the same quality and performance.

I do remember some games like Elden Ring and Final Fantasy XVI running better on PS5 but I'm tempted to say basically all games are pretty much the same, despite the XSX having technically the better hardware. I think this might actually be an even more equal scenario than the PS3 vs 360 and the PS4 vs XBO tbh.

Are there any notable games worth looking for the XSX version instead?

Off the top of my head Alan Wake 2, Doom The Dark Ages, RE Village, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle look and run better on Xbox Series X than on base PS5.
