That's fair and it shouldn't be mandatory but every smart device does the same thing anyway. Your phones know more about you than a Kinect could possibly gather. Eye tracking especially should be the least of anyone's concerns lol. You'd just be staring at the contents of the flame/screen 

Yes, I know and it annoys me; I am staying away from smart devices when I can, without going full tinfoil hat.
