I do wonder to what extent Azerbaijan might get involved. Azeris form the largest minority with Iran and are a majority a several regions in the North-West of the country. If they had a free choice, would those Azeri rather live as part of Iran or Azerbaijan? If the latter, would they think this is a realistic opportunity to breakaway? |
I'm not familiar with the Azaris. I did read that Trump is trying to arm the Kurds to rise up in Iran.

So not surprising is the Azeris will get urged to get involved as well.
It's the end goal for Netanyahy, balkanize Iran and turn it into another endless civil war failed state along with Yemen, Lebanon and Syria.
It's also possible it's a false flag attack,
Azeri President Alliyev seeks Iran’s apology for the drone attack in Nakhchivan, but Tehran denies role in the incident.
“One drone struck the terminal building of the airport in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, while another drone fell near a school building in the village of Shakarabad,” the ministry said.
It added that the attack injured two civilians and caused damage at the airport.
We all know who likes to bomb schools... And looking at the map, it makes zero sense for Iran to attack Nakhchivan.
The blue/purple X is Nakchivan on CNNs strike map. It's much closer to where the US/Israel have been bombing and not on route to any places Iran has been targeting. My money is on Israel trying to get the Azeris involved.
Take Google AI with a grain of salt but this is what it says on the subject:
Sounds similar to Hawaii's nationalist movement.
