Israel is just as much of a backwards, embarassment of a country as any other in the Middle East. It's a religion-based country, founded on the idea that even though most of them left thousands of years ago, Jews are the only ones entitled to live in the Israeli/Palestinian region. And don't get me wrong. Palestine beleives the same thing about themselves. They just happen to be on the losing side of a conflict where both sides wish for Genocide. |
Israel's actions have resulted in a lot of issues. People forget that the Palestinians welcomed the survivors of the Holocaust with open arms. Literally opening their homes to them. The response of the Zionist movement was to reward that generosity with forced displacement and genocide. The "right to return" is a big joke by in large because the people returning aren't descended from those that were promised the land. The land was promised to the Hebrews. There is a reason they dont allow DNA testing. They don't want people getting wise to the fact that most of the Jewish people settled in Israel are not Hebrews but converts descended from Eastern Europe. Poland and Ukraine in particular. They change their names to sound more Hebriac. Here are a couple of the numerous examples. Netanyahu's father changed their family name from Mileikowsky to Netanyahu. The first Prime Minister of Israel, David Grün aka David Ben-Gurion, started and encouraged this practice. To top it off a lot of their leadership, like Netanyahu, are secular. They use the Jewish faith as a convenience to further their goals.
TLDR; Even by religious standards, they don't have a right to the land. The land was promised to the Hebrews. Most of the people that moved to Israel are descended from Eastern European converts. They've gone through great efforts to hide that fact. i.e. Hebriac name changes and banning of DNA testing. I.E. the Mileikowsky family changing their surname to Netanyahu. The crazy thing is that every time the IDF kills a Palestinian, they kill someone more genetically Hebrew than they are.
