I haven't played it but I am curious to see what people say in this thread. I have been on the fence about it. The battle system seems very complicated, not sure if that is an accurate take.

The system is complex, but tactical combat is easy, if that makes sense

In short it's not intuitive for people who only played videogames and never played table top rpgs. Unlike Divinity, where combat is 100% made with videogames in mind, here you need to understand things like checks, saving throws, skill bonuses, AC, etc

However once you have deep understanding of the mechanics, the game is tactically very easy due to how powerful are the abilities the players get. The mechanics are designed with table top in mind, where there are limitations and you play with a party and cannot optimize your characters, while BG3 you can optimize everything and steamroll the game even on Tactician

I never played table top, but I get the impression I can grab the game, watch a few videos and get an understanding and be fine.  Cool, thanks my friend.  Once I get done with RE9 this will likely be my next title.
