(i) Isn’t this what everybody is always asking for? The ability to purchase Virtual Console titles outside of the NSO subscription service? I think it’s good Pokémon Co is offering these titles on the eShop. Could also be that these two games will be coming to NSO later this year/alongside the eShop releases. (ii) Hmm… complaining about pricing when it comes to video game products is something that has rubs me in a weird way. This is an inessential consumer good— not an essential product e.g. the rent to your home, food from the grocery store, etc. If $20USD is too much for you, then don’t buy. It’s not for you. Nobody is entitled to a free/inexpensive video game. |
This is a monkey paw version of what people were asking. First, this is a single GBA game that is not even on NSO (and let's face it, it will never be there as long as they can charge 20 dollars for it). People want the ability to purchase every retro game, not just one. Second, the price is way too high for what you are getting, especially considering that GBA games on Wii U costed 8 dollars. This is a 2.5 times increase in price just because. And third: just because something is not an essential good doesn't mean it's always fairly priced or that its price should not be discussed or criticised. This is a video game forum (focused on sales, mind you), and as such, every aspect of video games should be discussed by their users.
