What did Bluepoint do that was more useful than Naughty Dog? Don't forget that TLOU Part I Remake was not only a modern introduction for PC players, who likely wouldn't have bothered with the PS4 remaster if it got a PC release, but also for the millions of new casual fans who wanted to try the game out after the HBO series. Naughty Dog can also get a new IP off the ground compared to Bluepoint that took years to even get a pitch ready. |
BP made demon Souls remake and worked on GOW Ragna, the latter being one of Sony's most successful games. A full fledged ND team with external hires is also around 10 times the size of BP team.
So far ND, a studio that costs 100's of millions a year just to keep open has not delivered a new game for over 6 years, aside from a remake. That new IP is also not really close to releasing, if Sony didn't delay the PS6, there new game wouldn't even come out as a PS5 exclusive bit as a crossgen.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
