I just checked the prices of the current-gen GPUs of AMD and NVidia, and these already are some preview of what's to come.

Prices NVidia, available GPUs only:

GPUStarting Price (€)Max
5050291344
5060347425
5060 Ti 8GB424552
5060 Ti 16GB625886 (Outlier, otherwise 809€)
5070623830
5070Ti9931469
508013691969 and 1769 (Outliers, rest below 1419€)
5090N/AN/A

Prices AMD:

GPUStarting price (€)Max
9060XT 8GBN/AN/A
9060XT 16GB462511
9070655750
9070XT742983 (Outlier, otherwise 885€)

NVidia prices with more than 12GB VRAM are really through the roof to the point of gettign ridiculous, especially the 5060Ti and 5070Ti. Better get a 5070 or 5080 than those cards now.

And yes, the 5070 can be gotten for cheaper than a 16GB 5060Ti despite the rather large performance gap between both cards.

Prices are truly coming down a bit right now:

NVIDIA, available GPUs only:

GPUStarting Price January 30 (€)Starting price February 19
5050291294
5060347329
5060 Ti 8GB424399
5060 Ti 16GB625556
5070623629
5070Ti993929 (special promotion, otherwise 973)
508013691249
5090N/A3509

AMD, available GPUs only:

GPUStarting price January 30 (€)Starting price February 19
9060XT 8GBN/AN/A
9060XT 16GB462449
9070655627
9070XT742699

The 5050 and 5070 have gone slightly up, but everything else is down. The 5090 also became available again with several models in stock.

The price drops are mostly felt for the 9070XT on AMD's side and for the 5060Ti 16GB and the 5080 on NVidia's side. The latter's price drop actually gets it so close to the 5070Ti it makes that card almost pointless.
