This is seen as quite a insensitive thing to say by some.... however I can't help but agree with the sentiment.
Look at Gillette razors, they tried appealing to women (to grow market share), hired a women, who wanted them to change their ads, to lecture men about "how to be a man" (by the female perspective) and it cost them billions.
Same with Bud Light (beer), that went with Dylan Mulvaney, and the cost that had.
The same thing is happening in the game industry.... were men are being lectured about the male gaze, and how and what we should like ect.
The pattern is repeating.

Look at something like Relooted.... Journalist praised it... and it now has like ~30 people playing it.
Most are playing it because "I can't believe it is this bad, or racist" ect.... basically "hate" playing, it or would be much lower.
(these are like youtubers and reviewers... so they can film content to use in a video.... no one actually wants to play the game itself)
