Emulation unlocks so much.  Take Shining Force III, both scenario 2 and 3, never launched outside Japan, but fans roms exist in English. 

True dat, but there is always some minor inconviniences with these extra oficial emulators, like lacking of local mutiplayer and some visual/sound bugs. 

Also for me, To use the least of systems for my gaming time is a plus. So being available on current systems is a nonbrainer

Yeah, I prefer playing on official hardware.  I played WWHD via emulation, would prefer a S2 release, but when I have no options.  

N64 Recomp is quite interesting.  They decompile the code, rewrite it for PC so the game runs native.  I played Banjo recently and it was flawless.
