I will say I do prefer Gen 7 still, as I find PS3, 360, and Wii to all be better than their successors, but I really did undersell PS4/XBO, they actually do have a lot to offer.
Yeah, a lot of crappy trends did proliferate that gen like aggressive monetization, live service games, etc, but there's still tons of quality titles that I missed.
Most recently played Quantum Break and Battlefield 1 and really enjoyed both.
