I don't know about a specific year but Gamecube is still the best multiplatform support Nintendo got in my opinion. It got a lot of games the same day as PS2 and they usually ran better too.
Lots of series and games: The Sims, Timesplitters, Need for Speed, SSX, Prince of Persia, Tony Hawk's, Fifa, Madden, NFL, NBA, Crash, Splintercell, Spyro, GUN, Simpsons Hit & Run, Spider-Man.
Not late ports and not compromised performance. EA in particular have been crap at supporting Nintendo systems after the gamecube.
