A movie based on Super Mario Galaxy is about to come out. A revolutionary roller coaster that frequently gets 2-hour wait times based on Donkey Kong Country Returns opened in Orlando last year. And a subplot in the Paradise tv show revolved around an assassin who was literally willing to kill for a Wii. That kind of enduring cultural impact for a 20-year-old console would suggest the general public really liked it. Uncharted also got a theme park ride and a movie, but the ones based on Wii games are much bigger deals and much more popular.
