Bc if not, that would make sense, as having only downloading the upgrade means that they previously purchased the S1 version 

Just checked the store, when you buy MP4 on Switch 2 from the eshop its just a bundle of the Switch 1 Edition and Upgrade pack.

So it's impossible to buy MP4 digitally for Switch 2 without getting the Switch 1 version...

So yes all digital copies of MP4 are counted as Switch 1 sales even if you buy the Switch 2 Edition for $70 on the eshop.

Really annoying for tracking how SW1/SW2 sales compare.
