So the wii sold about 100 million consoles and about 910 million games. Lets say that out of the 100 million wiis sold that 10 million of them were owned by super duper hardcore nintendo fans who bought 50 games each so thats 500 million there and lets say another 20 million were just your run of the mill hardcore gamers who own every console and since theyre hardcore gamers they buy a decent amount of games lets say 17 a piece so thats 340 million games. That means the remaining 70 million consoles were sold to grandmas who had one game wii sports and then threw it in the closet, so really the wii was 3rd place and sony wins another championship
