I feel like game key cards get too much hate lol. Yes on cartridge is far better. But I'd still rather have a GKC that still has value after purchase than a digital game that's locked to my account forever.
Cartridge > Key Card > Digital
Maybe if key cards didn't exist the third parties would have used full cartridges, possibly with higher priced games. But they might also have just released as digital only on Switch 2.
Still should pressure publishers to use full cartridges, and it's a shame every time we hear of another key card release, but the other possible alternative of fully digital is much worse.
