The price war is going to be a bigger issue gen 10 than anything else.

NS2 - $450 (for now)
SteamCube $599     *800$ (500gb ssd), 950$ for (2tb ssd) (rumor)
PS6 - (rumors are high priced)  *700-800$ (rumored)
XBX5 - (rumors are higher priced) *1200-1500$ (rumored)

Nintendo might actually be the cheapest Gen10 system *(will be 100% without a doubt, even with them soon raising it 50$)

Steam Machine (cube or whatever you call it), is rumored to be ~800$ for the 512gb ssd model.
Its performance is slightly below a PS5 base model.  This comes from a backend price, of a Czech Retailer online.
They removed the included VAT (tax) and guessed at their profit margins, and worked back the price, converted it to USD and said that looks about it.
(its leaked prices were ~950$ and ~1070$ depending on the SSD size, includeing VAT ect ect)

MLIS thinks the new chip for the Xbox console/pc hybrid will be really expensive due to the size of the thing.
Even the PS6 from rumors looks to be more expensive than the PS5 (chip wise).

don't be surprised at a 700-800$ PS6 (sold at like ~100$ loss), and a 1200-1500$ new Xbox (needs high margin profits, because of steam store).

And yes, those prices will slow down adoption rates.
Waiting until the Ram/SSD situation cools down abit, is in everyone's interest.
