Switch 2 First Holiday Sales vs Switch 1 - Chris Dring

Switch 1 released with
1) BOTW as a launch title
2) 1 2 switch
3) Mario kart 8 ultimate launched in April
4) Arms in June
5) Splatoon in July
6) Mario Rabbids kingdom battle in august
7) Pokken DX in september
8) Super Mario Odyssey October
9) Fire Emblem warriors
10) Xenoblade chronicles 2 in December

Nintendo has released or published at least 10 different 1st party titles with a couple of them being first party games made by other game studios using Nintendo IP. This is the best of the best in terms of games launching within the first year of a console life span and Switch benefited greatly by an amazing launch year.

In comparison to the Switch 2 which is still selling well despite the lack of a major first party titles that isn't Pokémon Z-A or a switch 2 edition/patch.

Switch 2:
1) Mario Kart World June
2) Donkey Kong Banaza July
3) Kirby air Riders november

I might be missing a title but the switch 2 exclusive games only amount to 3. Not counting games that are cross platform or just update patches/switch 2 editions. Some parents may not opt to buy a switch 2 if some games are coming out on the switch 1. Nintendo didn't have a major switch 2 exclusive 1st party game launch on the switch 2 this past holiday season. Despite that the switch 2 still sold very well despite the down holiday season.
