Same here. Watched this one a little over a week ago at IMAX. It looks great, but my god it's just so banale and forgettable as far as movies go. It's a decent piece of bombastic entertainment to turn off your mind for a couple of hours and that's it.

But as a side-note, when the movie was over, and I turned around, I saw dozens of ecstatic looking children. Maybe it has a bigger impact for younger people. 


So why did you go watch it?

I've seen the first one, not in a theater though. Didn't feel like watching the sequel at all. My kids haven't said a peep about Avatar either, they're teenagers anyway not children anymore.
