Because they're less driven by the idea that actions are good/bad.

And it's more about who does them. You can do whatever you want to bad guys. And good guys are allowed to do whatever they want. 

The irony is calling Trump a good guy (not you).

Nah it's people adoring "Might is right" as the way to approach the world. Drooling over projecting US military power. US haven't been the good guys for a long time now. But the delusion of USA being the good cop of the world is still strong.

USA has also been losing wars forever, so a quick 30 minute smash and grab abduction can be celebrated as a 'win'. USA USA USA.

Of course this is just the beginning.
