This is no different the Iraq, Lebanon, Somalia etc. It was just done in the open, saying we are here for the oil, no years long war. Again, I find it fascinating. This may usher a new era of how things like this are done, surgical jobs without the lies and the bullshit, the false flags, proxy wars and the civilian casualties. There are always going to be unstable nations that a super power will need to subjugate (and steal their oil/resources), keep in line and turn the population to that nations own way of life. It gets worse as super powers start to corrode, usually they go after the nations that border them but it's the same throughout history. It'll happen as long as humanity exists and has borders. 

I can't see how this is not a good thing. Trump was gonna pull a Bush and go in there, get the oil and it would have been a mess but they managed it in a clean surgically precise couple of hours. No years long suffering. No generations of people who'll grow up to hate the USA. No destabalisation that'll cause future mass migration. The world today is better off than it was Yesterday. Venezuela is better off than it was Yesterday. Maduro is the one who is having a bad day and fuck that guy. 

Who is going to stop Trump from taking Canada. Europe is fleet would not even survive the trip over the Atlantic. Canada itself has little to defend itself against the US. Also US is MAGA Trump and those folks already are no longer an ally of EU, see the National Security paper and EU is reaction to it. The US and EU at best see eachother as useful idiots. The only ally they would lose over Canada are maybe Australia and UK. Still not saying that he will, but I really doubt the world will react.
