Good for you.

I've been really trying this year, but sadly have not been able to lose much over the past year, still hovering around 200 lbs. Its been pretty frustrating since I've been really trying my best to stay on top of my diet and exercise despite having a much more demanding job than I've had in the past.

I was on antidepressants for a while (which is about when I stopped being able to lose weight), and got off of them about a month or a month and a half ago. At least this has dialed down the crazy carb cravings I had. I am hoping that once my system recalibrates I'll be able to lose more weight in 2026. I'd like to get down to about 175 and then figure out where to go from there.

It's really hard once you throw meds into the mix; they can really mess with your metabolism, I know from personal experience.

Hang in there; some helpful stuff I've found is just finding ways to make little weight savings like black coffee/tea, slightly smaller portions, going for walks/taking the stairs, etc.

If you're not feeling up to it though that's completely fine too, gotta look after your mental health as well. Hope you feel better soon.
