That monitor seems to be aimed at film or photography professionals that also happen to game, switching from one mode and resolution to the other. I found myself more interested in the other article about HKC working on a RGB Mini LED monitor: https://videocardz.com/newz/hkc-to-launch-worlds-first-rgb-mini-led-monitor. If they do it right and go with enough zones, like 1152 for a 27" panel, this could be a great option for those that want good HDR and don't want to worry about burn-in. But we'll see if this first attempt is any good. |
It turns out that they've shared more info about this monitor: it's a 32" monitor running at 4K@165Hz or 1080p@330Hz and features an impressive 4788 dimming zones.

If the processor is powerful to handle all those zones ithout lag, this monitor could be a great alternative to OLEDs, tho I think it may end being more expensive than the newer and relatively cheap OLED monitor that have launched this year.
Please excuse my bad English.
