That monitor seems to be aimed at film or photography professionals that also happen to game, switching from one mode and resolution to the other.
I found myself more interested in the other article about HKC working on a RGB Mini LED monitor: https://videocardz.com/newz/hkc-to-launch-worlds-first-rgb-mini-led-monitor.
If they do it right and go with enough zones, like 1152 for a 27" panel, this could be a great option for those that want good HDR and don't want to worry about burn-in.
But we'll see if this first attempt is any good.
