This could be the first major sign that the Switch 2's sales curve will be notably more frontloaded than the Switch 1's with it potentially having a worse first holiday season than the latter after having a record shattering launch. A significant amount of people who normally would've gotten one next year or even later got one earlier this year due to expecting it to get a price increase down the line so even though its first fiscal year is still gonna be incredible its next one might not be much better than the Switch 1's 2nd full fiscal year, especially if it gets a price increase during it.

Also good thing the PS5 is doing extremely well in Europe currently to make up this weak performance in the US potentially being over 40% down compared to November 2018 for the PS4 whereas Xbox Series on the other hand is truly dead now even in its home market by falling out the top 3 and the Switch 1 collapsed YoY due to the price increase and lack of deals as expected. And BO7 only being the 7th best selling game of the year so far is wild to see even if it's gonna be higher after December. BO6 was ranked 3rd for the year in 2024 after its launch month despite only getting a few days in October where as BO7 had multiple full weeks of sales.

Yeah it was an awful month for everyone not named NEX.
