SNES. In retrospect, it wasn't even a competition games wise. Megadrive had a headstart, handful of great arcade ports, Sonic and sports games, but as the generation started closing to an end, SNES had the better library and dominated in every other genre.
In terms of console wars, it was propably the funniest era ever - but also the costiest.
