I have been ready to pull the trigger on the Switch 2 a few times now but I am holding off for a few readons:
1. The screen. It is awful. Especially when comparing to something like the Switch Oled or even the PS Portal. 2. The Price is still too high. Why cant we at least get a region locked version like Japan for 350? 3. I've heard the updated form factor makes a difference but im afraid it will kill my hands like the original Switch. The PS Portal is so comfortable its crazy. Its the most comfortable handheld I have ever had by a mile. I will probably need to get a grip for the Switch 2.
Now all that being said I am apprehension about waiting because what if prices go up and how much will a Oled Switch 2 cost?
Im already sold on a PS6 handheld just because I know it will be super ergonomic. And although I think it will be a hybrid like the Switch, it still wont play Nintendo games. Whats gonna be wild is if the PS6 handheld comes in cheaper or the same price as the Switch 2. The one thing Sony has to deal with is gonna be those ram prices.

1. I've seen lots of analysis of the screen and it's ghosting problems. In actual practice I can't see it when I'm using it. I don't have any issues with the screen even if it's proven to have flaws. Going from a Steam Deck OLED to the Switch 2, I didn't have any negative thoughts really.
2. I think the price is fair, but it really depends on how much you will use it.
3. Ergonomics are better than Switch 1, but I never had issues with Switch 1 so I don't know if it would solve your problems.
Having said that would I recommend most people buy a switch 2 right now? No. I've owned it since launch and played only about 50 hours, and most of that was Fire Emblem Engage, a switch 1 game with no upgrades. There's not enough there, Switch 1 had a much stronger early lineup.
