No it isn't clear that this is the case. Tens of millions of Playstation gamers remain active on PS4, Sony's total playerbase is increasing. So PS5 has a large number of "new" players and we don't know how many of them came from Xbox. PS5 should catch up to PS4 and comfortably beat it if Sony continues production and prices don't go up once again (which might happen in the context of rising RAM prices, tariffs, and all that crap).
