That would be devestating to Switch 2 sales potential, Smash Ultimate was a big driving force in creating hype for Switch 1 and increased its momentum. Without a new Smash on Switch 2, that will be a major loss of appeal for the system. We see what lack of hype titles does for a console in the Switch 2s performance in Europe this year. With few appealing software, its impossible for the system to keep any momentum and appeal. Nintendo has given the PS5 a fully open goal in a major market by not having anything relevant this holiday in terms of software.

There was no new Mario Kart on the Switch 1 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best-selling game on the console. Though I realize MK8 was on the Wii U, which was a huge flop of a console.
