I swear this old bastard is the forever console I just can't escape from.

Back last year I thought I was finally done with it, having finally ticked off all the games on it that I wanted to play. Then I started seeing new ones that looked interesting, so I dug it out of retirement this January to play stuff like Stranglehold, Ace Combat 6, FEAR, and Enslaved.

After that I thought I was done for good, but since then I caught myself browsing for it again, and found The Darkness and Condemned 2 for like $8 AUD each, both of which look like something I'd enjoy, so the damn thing is coming out of retirement yet again, two decades after it launched.

While it's nice to play fancy new games on PS5 or Switch 2 with modern graphics and such, there's just something about the 360 era I think I'll always love, that boldness and edginess, where games weren't afraid to have a strong sense of style or take creative risks, because they didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make.

Holy moly what a great console.
